Bradford Community Food & Sustainability Hub is a school-led community initiative by Almansour Academy, focused on reducing food waste, supporting families facing food insecurity, and promoting sustainability across Bradford and surrounding areas

What We Do

  • Run a weekly community food bank
  • Rescue surplus food from local supermarkets
  • Redistribute food with dignity and respect
  • Support families experiencing food insecurity
  • Promote sustainability and reduce food waste
  • Engage pupils, families, and community volunteers in positive community action

Weekly Food Bank – When & Where

Location: Dixon McMillan, Trinity Road, BD5 0JD
Time: Sundays – 11:00am to 1:00pm
Food available may include:
  • Bread and bakery items
  • Fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Milk and eggs
  • Other essential food items

All food is provided free of charge to families in need.

We support families across Bradford who may be experiencing food insecurity. Referrals can be made by schools, community organisations, or directly by families..

We work in partnership with local supermarkets, volunteers, schools, and community organisations. We welcome collaboration with local authorities, educational institutions, charities, and community groups who share our commitment to food security, sustainability, and community wellbeing.
